Every character that changed its name shows up here, with the old and the new name. Renaming is a service players pay for, and the record is public precisely so nobody gets fooled.
What this is for
Accounts change hands, and buyers sometimes rename the character. When that happens, people often assume a brand new character showed up fully geared and conclude the staff handed out the items. We did not. Check here before accusing: if the name is on the list, the character is old and simply got renamed.
